Comprehensive Training
As HouseMaster Home Inspection Service, Portland, we know that quality service is the result of experience, hard work and dedication. Our team of inspectors is held to the highest standards of training. In addition to the required certification by the State of Oregon’s Construction Contractors Board (CCB), our inspectors are vigorously trained and re-certified annually through the National Institute of Building Inspectors (NIBI), a New Jersey based comprehensive training regimen.
Since 1992 our company has been an active member of the Oregon Association of Home Inspections (OAHI) (now an ASHI chapter also) and the Oregon Pest Control Operators (OPCA), and holds a Pest Control Operators (PCO) license through the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
Knowledgeable Leadership
While more than 1,150 individuals have obtained Oregon Certified Home Inspector (OCHI) licenses since 1998, only a small percentage of these professionals are currently active in the home inspection business. Bruce Howe, franchisee and founder of HouseMaster’s Portland home inspection office, holds the distinction of being the 12th person certified by the state.
Dedicated Service
HouseMaster provides a comprehensive, state-of-the-art computer generated report to clients with each home inspection. This detailed, yet easy to read home inspection report includes photos and may be retrieved online via a password protected Web site. As a courtesy to our clients, we also include a 5-page Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) report with every inspection.
