Jeff Lux was remarkably courteous, patient, and professional. He took the time to stop and explain things in detail whenever I had a question, and never made me feel he was in a rush. I could tell he is an expert just by the way he approached his work in every situation, literally from the floor spaces, to the walls, to the ceiling, roof, outdoors, etc. I am so relieved to read his report as it is evidence of what we discussed and thoroughly understandable. Mostly, I now feel confident knowing the condition of the house I hope to purchase was inspected by someone who acted in good faith, and who used his knowledge and objectivity the way I would expect a person in his position to do so. This is not the first home my wife and I have purchased, so we have had home inspections before. This inspection was by far the most thorough; the inspector was also by far the most professional. The inspection report will help me prioritize and focus on items that need repair and/or upgrade. I told my wife that I will probably ask Jeff Lux, our HouseMaster inspector, to come back every 2 to 3 years to give the house a "check-up" because he can look at the house from an objective viewpoint.

My HouseMaster Inspector August 12, 2010 in Kurtistown, Hawaii was Jeff Lux. In 50 years of evaluating goods and services and those who provide them, I found him to be the most thorough, responsive, and best value I have ever experienced. I had an extremely difficult situation with a relative that he grasped immediately. His inspection and assistance pointed me in directions resulting in the resolution of a wide range of problems promptly and efficiently. He earned my greatest respect, and I would recommend him without reservation.

Our home inspector lives in the same area, uses a rainwater catchment system, and has been doing inspections for a number of years. He was very informative and I was able to easily trust his expertise; he also provided me with additional suggestions because of knowing and living in the area. I WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT THE LEHUA HOUSE ELECTRICAL PANEL HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY DISCUSSED BY MANY PEOPLE SINCE YOU SUBMITTED YOUR REPORT. Already, the owner and his friend, an electrician were there. And the listing agent had Hawaiian Electric Light Co Engineering Department visit and assess the electrical panel..Finally the neutral and ground were separated by an electrician and tomorrow all the GFCI will be fixed or replaced. Having you inspect the home was well worth the cost to the buyers!! Thanks for your eagle eyes and capable photo eye too! ALOHA
